The cardigan for the very first moments.
Merino wool that breathes, a fibre that protects
Our merino wool is spun by Fonty, a French mill established in the 19th century and awarded the Living Heritage Company label. The fineness of this yarn—far beyond regular wool—does not scratch, even on the skin of a premature baby. This fibre is ideal for newborns: it warms while naturally regulating temperature, wicks away moisture without clamminess, and supports the still-immature body in its search for thermal balance. Merino wool absorbs up to 30% of its weight in water without the baby's skin feeling damp, and its breathable fibres allow air to circulate while retaining warmth. Its natural antibacterial properties help preserve delicate, fragile skin. The natural elasticity of merino follows the little one's body without ever constricting, while keeping its shape over time.
Dressing designed for fragility
The back-buttoning design allows you to slip baby into the cardigan without handling more than necessary: you lay down, fold over, and button. The buttons are made of boxwood. Fully-fashioned finishes: an assembly stitch by stitch, for delicate seams. This linked construction guarantees total softness against sensitive areas.
Knitted in France, in small batches
Knitted in Île-de-France, with full traceability from yarn to finished garment. The stockinette and double moss stitch that make up this cardigan are supple stitches, following movement without compression.
Why choose merino wool for baby?
Natural temperature regulation
Merino fibre helps maintain a comfortable temperature: it keeps baby warm when it's cool, without weighing them down when it gets warmer.
Soft and comfortable
Its fine, supple knit respects baby's delicate skin and feels cosy, with no itch.
Breathable
Wool lets air circulate and helps wick away moisture, keeping baby comfortable all day long.
