Newborn essentials and gift sets made in France merino wool

A newborn gift chosen to be truly used

To celebrate a baby's arrival, Mistricotine creates newborn essentials that are delicate, useful and easy to give. Our gift sets bring together merino wool garments and accessories, carefully coordinated and designed to accompany baby's first days and first months.

Cardigans, booties, bonnets, trousers, rompers, onesies, coats or blankets: depending on the set, pieces are chosen to complement each other and form a harmonious whole. They can also be worn separately and integrate easily into baby's wardrobe.

Newborn gift sets designed to last

A newborn gift takes on its full meaning when it truly accompanies parents in their daily life. Mistricotine pieces are designed to be worn, washed and passed on. Merino wool retains its softness and suppleness when cared for properly and can be machine washed at 30°C according to the recommendations indicated on each product.

This attention to the quality of the knit and the finishes allows us to create garments and accessories that can be kept for another child and passed down over the years.

The softness of merino wool

Fine merino wool is chosen for its softness, suppleness and naturally thermoregulating properties. Breathable, it helps baby stay comfortably warm while limiting the sensation of overheating when the temperature rises.

How to choose a newborn gift?

For a birth or a first visit to baby, booties, bonnets, cardigans and first outfits are reliable choices. A blanket or a more complete set makes it possible to offer several complementary pieces that parents can use throughout the first weeks and first months.

If you do not know the family's tastes precisely, natural shades and timeless designs are particularly easy to give. Size depends on baby's age, height and weight, as well as when the gift will be worn. If in doubt, consult our baby size guide.

A gift prepared with care

Gift sets are carefully prepared and ready to give. You can have your gift delivered directly to the parents and add a personalised message at no extra cost, written on a Mistricotine card tucked inside the box.

A gift that becomes part of family history

A newborn gift is not only chosen for the day it is given. A cardigan worn in the first weeks, booties kept in a memory box or a blanket used from one child to the next gradually become part of family history.

This idea of transmission guides our compositions: useful, delicate and coordinated pieces, intended to be worn, cherished, kept and, when their story allows, passed on.

Choosing according to when the gift will be given

A gift given in the first days does not necessarily call for the same choice as one offered a few weeks later. For a birth, small sizes, cardigans, booties or blankets naturally find their place. When baby has already grown, a larger size or a set designed for the following months avoids duplicating what parents are already using.

The most appropriate approach is to think about use: a piece that is easy to wear, a fibre suited to the first months and a colour that works simply with the rest of the wardrobe. The gift then becomes part of everyday life, not just a beautiful object unwrapped on the day of birth.
