Each piece is knitted in France, in small batches, with particular attention to the quality of the knit and the finish. Hats and booties are hand-knitted in France. The knitting and making of our newborn essentials are carried out in the Île-de-France by our French knitwear specialist.
Which newborn gift for a baby girl?
A cardigan, a blanket, booties or a coordinated set find their place naturally in a little girl's layette. A cardigan pairs with her earliest outfits, while a blanket remains useful long after the first weeks. Our gift sets bring together several coordinated pieces in a presentation ready to give.

Which size to give?
Mistricotine sizes take into account baby's height and weight. Size 1 month corresponds to approximately 54 cm and 4 kg; size 3 months to approximately 60 cm and 5 to 6 kg. If you don't know baby's measurements precisely, a size intended for the weeks ahead can be easier to give than a very small newborn size.

Giving a piece that lasts
Mistricotine merino wool is machine-washable at 30 °C maximum, on a wool or delicate programme, thanks to its Superwash treatment. It dries flat. Well cared for, a cardigan, a sweater or a blanket can be kept and passed on to another child.
Naturally breathable and thermoregulating, merino wool helps baby retain warmth when it's cool while allowing air to circulate. It also absorbs moisture and helps reduce clamminess.
Our wool is spun by the French mill Fonty, founded in the 19th century in the Creuse and awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label.

A gift box is offered from €90. You can also add a personalised message at no extra cost, written on a Mistricotine card. Any order placed before 12 noon is dispatched the same day, excluding weekends and public holidays.
